Will we have two decades of recession like Japan?
The UK economy shrank by 0.3% in the first three months of the year, more than previously thought, revised figures have shown. This is a massive indicator of the problem with austerity it is a political experiment tried many times in many countries and it has always failed. For the last two decades Japan has been pursuing the kind of fiscal austerity program now being urged on Europe to combat their debt crisis.
When Japan’s bubble economy imploded in the early 1990s, public finances were in surplus and government debt was a mere 20 percent of gross domestic product. Twenty years on, the government is running a yawning deficit and gross public debt as swollen to a sumo-sized 200 percent of GDP.
Fiscal austerity did not begin immediately, but Japan’s experiment with Keynesian-style public works programmes ended in 1997. The public works programs did not promote a significant recovery, but in the six years from 1992 to 1997, real GDP at least managed to grow at a feeble 1.3% annual rate. But in the two years after austerity began — public works spending being cut back and the consumption tax raised, real GDP fell by 2.1% (1998) and 0.1% (1999). Despite fiscal austerity after 1997, the budgetary situation steadily deteriorated, government outlays rising as percentage of GDP while tax revenues are 5% lower as a percentage of GDP than in 1988 when the consumption tax was introduced.
If George osborne continues with hos austerity plan we will sink deeper and deeper into recession I can only asume he wants this recesion.

Government sets out proposed orders to rename Asbos, still cutting police.
- A "community trigger" - to force the police, councils and other agencies to act if five households complain, or the same individual complains three times (so if your neighbour complains about you quickly get in three complaints and you win)
- A Crime Prevention Injunction - allowing agencies to protect victims from hooligans and vandals at short notice (useless without more police)
- A Criminal Behaviour Order - to stop convicted criminals from engaging in particular activities or going to certain places (AKA ASBO)
- A faster process to evict anti-social tenants (useless without more police)
- A faster process to deal with irresponsible dog owners (Useless without more police)
That is Theresa
Mays grand scheme rename ASBOS bring in a easily abused and inflexible "trigger"
system and a few other ideas that are useless in the face of police cuts.
Theresa May you are a failure.

Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor launches hypocritical and dishonest attack.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor the monster who protected paedophile
and exposed more children to them has launched a rather hypocritical attack on
secularism.
Terry Sanderson, president of the National Secular Society, said:
"Cardinal Murphy O'Connor is simply echoing the Vatican's familiar and
untrue line that 'secularism' is the enemy of religion. It is certainly the
enemy of power-seeking religion, as with the Vatican's present version of
Catholicism, but it upholds the rights of religious believers to practise their
faith freely and without hindrance. His presentation of Christianity as being
under attack is a familiar one and still completely unconvincing. It is part of
a wider campaign to reassert Catholic influence."
Mr Sanderson continued: "Murphy O'Connor says that the 'high
priests' of secularism can't guarantee freedom from violence or immorality.
"But we should never forget that Mr Murphy O'Connor himself
was guilty of disgracefully covering up some of the most horrific crimes of a
paedophile priest when he was Archbishop of Arundel and Brighton – allowing the
perpetrator to continue abusing children in other parishes. Why Murphy O'Connor
was never brought to justice over this remains a mystery."
It is the same old lie again, by claiming that they are not
allowed to discriminate or have special privileges over others then they believe
they are being discriminated against. Also there world is do blinkered and singular that they are constantly going on about the high priests or secularism and atheism. Hate to point this out but there are no high priest or Holy Book of either.

For Jeremy Hunt the only crime is getting caught
Jeremy Hunt is under further pressure today as it is
revealed that he has failed to declare at least three donations from media firms.
"Mr Vaizey (Jeremy Hunts deputy) stated in his entry in the register of
interests that he and Mr Hunt attended had attended eight sponsored events
between July 2009 and March 2010.Mr Vaizey registered the events as donations worth £27,000. These are not cash donations, but estimates from Mr Vaizey of the cost to the companies concerned of hosting the events.
However, Mr Hunt did not declare the meetings against his name in the register. He has subsequently claimed that he attended only three of the eight meetings and has made it clear he intends to amend the register accordingly."
Oh well that alright then if i got caught shoplifting i can just put the items back and get off scot free.

Nanny state
It's been awhile but I actually agree with David Cameron on
something. Parenting classes is a very good idea and something that society hasneeded for a long time. Actually since Thatcher declared that there was no society and did what she could to destroy it. A tad ironic that one Tory PM tried to destroy society the other to recreate it, or at elast look like thats waht he is doing.
It does seem that whenever someone uses the
"argument" nanny state against something it really means they have no
real argument against and oppose it on principles rather than reason i.e. out
of stupidity.

Is this the future of the NHS under the Tories?
Read the story here about an American bar tender who was
stabbed 8 times while he escorted a customer home and now he has a massive
medical bill. He has to pay $8,000 for just the helicopter ride that saved his
life. This sadly what happens when medicine is privatised it cost a lot more it
is restricted and brave people who put themselves on the line for others have their
lives ruined. Welcome to the future of the NHS under the Tories it will be just
like America where children die from curable disease because their parents are
poor. This all happens in the name of greed a handleful profit from suffering whilst hundreds die it is a disgrace and must never happen here.

CPS statement on phone hacking charges
Rebekah Brooks, her husband Charlie and four other people
are being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice as part of
the phone hacking inquiry.
Confirmation of the decision came from Alison Levitt, QC, principal legal
adviser to the Director of Public Prosecutions overseeing CPS decision-making,
and all potential prosecutions, in relation to the ongoing phone hacking
inquiries and related matters.Miss Levitt said she was making a statement "in the interests of transparency and accountability to explain the decision to charge".
She said the CPS received a file of evidence from the Metropolitan Police on 27 March 2012 in relation to seven suspects:
• Rebekah Brooks;
• Charles Brooks;• Cheryl Carter - Mrs Brooks' personal assistant;
• Mark Hanna - head of security at News International;
• Paul Edwards - Mrs Brooks' chauffeur, who was employed by News International;
• Daryl Jorsling and a seventh suspect - both of whom provided security for Mrs Brooks supplied by News International.
Miss Levitt said: "All the evidence has now carefully been considered.
"Applying the two-stage test in the code for Crown prosecutors I have concluded that in relation to all suspects except the seventh, there is sufficient evidence for there to be a realistic prospect of conviction.
"I then considered the second stage of the test, and I have concluded that a prosecution is required in the public interest in relation to each of the other six.
"All seven suspects have this morning been informed of my decisions.
"They are all due to answer their bail at police stations later today. When they do so, they will be charged as follows:
"Charge 1 - conspiracy to pervert the course of justice:
"Rebekah Brooks between 6 July and 19 July 2011 conspired with Charles Brooks, Cheryl Carter, Mark Hanna, Paul Edwards, Daryl Jorsling and persons unknown to conceal material from officers of the Metropolitan Police Service
"Charge two - conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
"Rebekah Brooks and Cheryl Carter between 6 July and 9 July 2011 conspired together permanently to remove seven boxes of material from the archive of News International.
"Charge three - conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
"Rebekah Brooks, Charles Brooks, Mark Hanna, Paul Edwards and Daryl Jorsling conspired together and with persons unknown, between 15 July and 19 July 2011, to conceal documents, computers and other electronic equipment from officers of the Metropolitan Police Service.
"All these matters relate to the ongoing police investigation into allegations of phone hacking and corruption of public officials in relation to the News of the World and The Sun newspapers.
"Following charge, these individuals will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court on a date to be determined.
"No further action will be taken against the seventh suspect.
"May I remind all concerned that these six individuals now will be charged with criminal offences and that each has a right to a fair trial. It is very important that nothing is said, or reported, which could prejudice that trial. For these reasons it would be inappropriate for me to comment further.
