UKIP has been forced to drop a candidate because he called for forced eugenics. I severely doubt that UKIP has a eugenics agenda but this is the sort of Looney that they attract and this shows the complete lack of competence in the party. But when you willingly invite lord Monckton into your midst insanity and dishonesty is never far away.

Good news. Louise Mensch has a temper tantrum over being denied ministerial job and resigns
One of the biggest embarrassments in parliament Louise
Mensch is to resign triggering a by-election that is expected in early November.
Louise Mensch main contributions to British politics has
been to lie about hacking in Piers Morgan's biography to try and take attention
from Murdoch's news corp (when you make Peirs Morgan look good you really are worthless).
To shill for Rupert Murdoch during the phone hacking scandal . She also held
hypocritical positions about abusive twitter messages. Supporting a man from
her constituency who was cleared on appeal of Twitter abuse yet also making a successful
complaint about someone who posted abusive messages about her.
With her resignation the honesty quotient of parliament will increase. Her resignation
supposedly because it has become difficult for her to balance work and family
life has come just a few months after she demanded a ministerial job. It looks
like that as she was denied this she threw a tantrum and resigned to cause
maximum damage to David Cameron as it is very likely that the Tories will loss
the by-election.
This is nothing but good news for Parliament democracy and
the nation and hopefully the people of Corby will get a real MP and with a bit
of luck it will be normal women who can inspire young girls to get into
politics rather than turn them off like Louise Mensch must have done.

Romney has the Olympic Gold for Upper Class Twit of the Year sewn up for sure, It's a #Romneyshambles
Mitt Romney's visit to the UK has become a complete shambles
it always amusing to see light weight American politicians outside their own country
they always look terrible and make you realise that even a mediocrity like
Cameron looks good compared to Mitt Romney. This is a politician who "retroactively
resigned" from Bain Capital to try and avoid questions about his awarding
of Olympic contracts to his own companies and who won't release his tax returns
the contents of which are so bad that John McCain chose Sarah Palin ahead of
Mitt Romney to be his running mate. The Guardian has a timeline of MittRomney's day of shame. i will leave you with this comment from a member of fark
which sums Romney up very well.
"Walker:
Now you see what we have to deal with Brits. The guy baptizes dead people
against their family's wishes, bullies people with long hair, ties dogs to
roofs on long road trips, belittles people poorer than him (nice raincoats you
have there, trash bags) and lies constantly."

We need a new chancellor this one's broken
It has always been obvious that from the first moment he was
in the job that George Osborne was not capable of being able to perform as
chancellor. He was to weighed down by discredited principles that have always
failed from Japans eternal recession to Britain in the 70's and 80's austerity does
nothing except damage the economy and make the rich richer. As his family are
one of the largest tax avoiders in this country it is clear that he will never
plug the loopholes that allow billions to be siphoned out of the British
economy.

Will we have two decades of recession like Japan?
The UK economy shrank by 0.3% in the first three months of the year, more than previously thought, revised figures have shown. This is a massive indicator of the problem with austerity it is a political experiment tried many times in many countries and it has always failed. For the last two decades Japan has been pursuing the kind of fiscal austerity program now being urged on Europe to combat their debt crisis.
When Japan’s bubble economy imploded in the early 1990s, public finances were in surplus and government debt was a mere 20 percent of gross domestic product. Twenty years on, the government is running a yawning deficit and gross public debt as swollen to a sumo-sized 200 percent of GDP.
Fiscal austerity did not begin immediately, but Japan’s experiment with Keynesian-style public works programmes ended in 1997. The public works programs did not promote a significant recovery, but in the six years from 1992 to 1997, real GDP at least managed to grow at a feeble 1.3% annual rate. But in the two years after austerity began — public works spending being cut back and the consumption tax raised, real GDP fell by 2.1% (1998) and 0.1% (1999). Despite fiscal austerity after 1997, the budgetary situation steadily deteriorated, government outlays rising as percentage of GDP while tax revenues are 5% lower as a percentage of GDP than in 1988 when the consumption tax was introduced.
If George osborne continues with hos austerity plan we will sink deeper and deeper into recession I can only asume he wants this recesion.

For Jeremy Hunt the only crime is getting caught
Jeremy Hunt is under further pressure today as it is
revealed that he has failed to declare at least three donations from media firms.
"Mr Vaizey (Jeremy Hunts deputy) stated in his entry in the register of
interests that he and Mr Hunt attended had attended eight sponsored events
between July 2009 and March 2010.Mr Vaizey registered the events as donations worth £27,000. These are not cash donations, but estimates from Mr Vaizey of the cost to the companies concerned of hosting the events.
However, Mr Hunt did not declare the meetings against his name in the register. He has subsequently claimed that he attended only three of the eight meetings and has made it clear he intends to amend the register accordingly."
Oh well that alright then if i got caught shoplifting i can just put the items back and get off scot free.

Are the conservatives now blatantly in the pockets of the Murdochs? Is Louise Mensch unfit to serve in Parliament?
The conservatives are no longer being subtle about their
support for the Murdoch’s and BSkyB. Louise Mensch, blatantly shilling for
Murdoch by calling the recent report partisan. Either the Murdochs misled
parliament and are therefore corrupt and unfit to run a media company or they are
highly incompetent and therefore unfit to run a media company. Either way the inescapable
truth is that the Murdoch’s and BSKYB are not fit to hold a media license. Therefore
the other inescapable truth is that Louise Mensch and her conservative colleagues
are either incompetent or in the pocket of the Murdochs either way they are unfit
to serve in parliament.

Rupert Murdoch "is not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company", MPs have said.
MPs have come to the rather obvious conclusion that Rupert Murdoch "is not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company" unsurprisingly the Tories have inevitably tried to protect Rupert Murdoch. The real surprise in this is that Labour and the Lib Dems have had the bravery to stand up to Rupert Murdoch.

Prime minister tries to protect his culture secretary from being held accountable
In what is turning out to be a terrible week for David
Cameron he is now up his neck in trouble, protecting Jeremy Hunt from an inquiry
into his dubious relationship with the Murdochs. Cameroons fate is surely now
linked with Jeremy Hunts. If Jeremy is forced to quite then there will be
massive questions asked as to why David Cameroon blocked a very necessary inquiry.

The inevitable result of austerity measures
It has been announced the UK is now back in recession.
George Osborne’s valiant attempts to damage the economy have finally paid
dividends. The economy resisted valiantly but Osborne’s austerity measures have
finally caused the recession that he seemed to be fighting so hard to achieve.
Ed Balls the shadow chancellor had previously warned Osborne that this was going to happen when Labour know more about the economy than you then you are useless.
It is time for Osborne to resign as the failure that he is.

How can such a fool be “justice” secretary?
Ed Milliband has rightly called for Ken Clarke to be sacked as Justice Secretary quite how David Cameron could appoint such an incompetent fool be Justice Secretary is beyond me. Ken Clarke has been a constant failure in just about every role he has had in government and should have been out to pasture a long time ago. 15 Months is far too short a time for any sort of rape and the suggestion that it would encourage people to plead guilty is ridiculous as you would end up with the horrible situation of some people pleading guilty to a crime they have not committed. It would be as bad as the unjust plea bargaining you get in the American justice system. This is jsut another part of the dumbing down of Justice to save money highly immoral. This comment from baker 123456 sums it up nicely “The role of a politician is to protect the people they represent...letting violent criminals off with smaller sentences because they 'admit' it is absurd.
Note to politicians..I do not feel protected!!!”

No to AVs three dishonest claims, actually they are outright lies.
The No to AV campaign has 3 main reasons to vote no to AV. One a complete distortion the other two are outright lies. But the whole no to AV campaign has been one of dishonesty and fear mongering from the start.
AV is costly
“The change to AV will cost up to an additional £250 million. Local councils would have to waste money on costly electronic vote counting machines and expensive voter education campaigns. With ordinary families facing tough times can we really afford to spend a quarter of a billion pounds of taxpayers' money bringing in a new voting system? Schools and hospitals, or the Alternative Vote – that's the choice in this referendum.”
If they think a onetime £250 million cost is going to stop education or health care they have not got a clue about how much those actually cost. Healthcare costs £110 Billion a year or about 440X the one of cost for AV. Education costs are approximately £84 billion a year about 336X the one of cost of AV Clearly the claim that it is schools and hospitals or AV is a complete and disgraceful lie.
Cancelling the unnecessary trident replacement at a minimum would save a £24 Billion one of cost and who knows how much per year in maintenance. By doing so you could spend £250million on AV and have over £23 Billon extra to spend on schools and hospitals. Or use that money to buy conventional military equipment that has a genuine use and is under our control unlike trident and its potential replacement.
AV is complex and unfair
“The winner should be the candidate that comes first, but under AV the candidate who comes second or third can actually be elected. That’s why it is used by just three countries in the world – Fiji, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Voters should decide who the best candidate is, not the voting system. We can't afford to let the politicians off the hook by introducing a loser's charter.”
Under AV the most popular candidates win First past the post allows for unpopular and weak leaders who are elected with less than majority support. The reason only three countries use it is because it is an anathema to weak careerist politicians who rely on the first past the post system It would have taken heavy campaigning from the non political class to get AV passed in those countries. The suggestion that the politician who comes second or third gets in is ludicrous. Under AV a politician must get a substantive majority (over 50% of the vote) and therefore be a true winner, a truly popular leader. First past the post means a politician can get in with an un-substantive majority (under 50% of the vote) now that is a real losers charter.
AV is fairer and the suggestion it is too complicated is insulting the intelligence of everyone in this country. Filling out the census form is a lot more complicated and it’s not hard. Australians have been using it successfully sin 1918 they don’t think it is complicated at all.
AV is a politician's fix
“AV leads to more hung parliaments, backroom deals and broken promises like the Lib Dem tuition fees U-turn. Instead of the voters choosing the government, politicians would hold power. Under AV, the only vote that really counts is Nick Clegg's. We can't afford to let the politicians decide who runs our country.”
Australia introduced to alternative vote in 1918 since then they have had 2 hung parliaments in 1940 and 2010. Since 1918 our first past the post has also produced three hung parliaments in 1929, 1974 and 2010. Looking at the facts it shows a hung parliament is slightly less likely under AV not more likely. Therefore political deals are actually more likely under first past the post but that is why career politicians and extremists oppose AV. As for the suggestion that the only vote that counts is Nick Clegg is just a bizarre and outright lie.
Av is to the careerist and extremist politician as garlic is to a vampire that is why so many of the UK’s political failures and extremists are against it.
So there you have it the no to campaigns three main arguments against AV one distortion of reality two outright lies

self entitled careerist labour MP, Unelected government minister and the BNP all oppose democracy.
As the Yes and No Campaigns about the referendum on AV hot up the no campaign have been more than a little dishonest. As an example Baroness Warsi has claimed that BNP would be boosted by AV. This is completely untrue as it may increase their votes slightly but popular parties would have an even greater increase and as you need a real majority to get elected it would mean significant losses in the European elections (a spring board for all extremist parties) for the BNP and other extremists. The BNP’s official position on AV is “The AV system is obviously a sleight of hand which is directed against the BNP and is not aimed at improving democracy in Britain. Rather, Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg’s sudden conversion to AV are an indication that they have now fully comprehended the meaning of the BNP’s surge in vote totals in last week’s election — and are desperate to undermine democracy even “The AV system is obviously a sleight of hand which is directed against the BNP and is not aimed at improving democracy in Britain. Rather, Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg’s sudden conversion to AV are an indication that they have now fully comprehended the meaning of the BNP’s surge in vote totals in last week’s election — and are desperate to undermine democracy even further.” IT is the last paragraph in the article.
When a self entitled careerist labour MP, authoritarian racists like the BNP and unelected Cabinet minister’s team up to say no to AV then you can be sure that AV is something that improves democracy making it harder for the extreme the corrupt and the undemocratic to gain power.
I am linking to a significant no to AV site. They have promised to provide a reason for no every week. As they do not allow comments, which is no surprise for an anti democracy site, I will be providing a response every week to them. There first that i am aware of was repeating Baroness Warsi’s fear mongering and outright lie that AV would benefit the BNP which has been answered in this post by pointing out the BNP oppose AV as it doesn’t benefit them.

How can Bush be a great leader when he didn’t lead anyone at the end?
The Telegraph has an amusingly childish piece trying to claim that George Bush was a more effective world leader than Barrack Obama. It would seem the author of this story has not got the first clue about good leadership. He claims that George Bush’s gung ho policy is far more effective than Obama’s one of listening to others. First an effective leader cannot lead without listening to those they lead he doesn’t always do what they want but he should always listen or he will lose his leadership position. By ignoring the majority of world opinion George Bush immediately stopped being a leader and become a loner with few friends. Like an ineffective school bully most ignored him and only a few weaklings and sycophants like Tony Blair followed him.
Take football as an example of leadership. There is a saying that a manager has lost the dressing room it basically means the managers has ignored his players opinions for so long that they no longer want to play for him. The manager is no longer a leader and either has to take great steps to be respected again or loss his job. Bush was not a great leader because he wasn’t a leader at all by the end of his presidency. After 9/11 he threw away the greatest amount of worldwide good feeling and sympathy towards America that there has ever been that is failed leadership right there.

Failure of the anarchists
In what is becoming a more and more common theme violent anarchists hijack a peaceful protest to go on pointless rampage. Nothing says failed philosophy like using violence because you are unable to convince people you are right. Anarchism seems to attract bitter and self entitled individuals who have a might makes right philosophy not dissimilar from Ayn Rand’s one of irrational, selfish, self entitled behaviour.
Real protester organisers need to be on the lookout for these people in the future they must confront them, remove there masks and inform the police of their presence. Whilst no one except the Tory jester Boris Johnson believes that these anarchist where anything to do with the TUC’s protests protest organisers need to out the trouble makers for their own protest to be taken seriously.

Tory MP Greg Hands wants to waste government time and money
Tory MP Greg Hands seems to believe that there is nothing important going on in the UK or world. He has asked ministers to take the completely unnecessary step of declaring Foxes vermin.
Mr Hands said "Last summer a number of my constituents were attacked in their own homes by urban foxes," “Could you liaise with the Communities Secretary (Eric Pickles) to see if we could change the law so that urban foxes could be treated as vermin in the same way as rats and mice are?" This is a complete waste of time it is lawful for people to kill foxes by shooting, snaring or trapping them in a baited cage - although poisoning is not allowed. Declaring Foxes vermin would make no difference to this whatsoever and would just waste government time and money.

Labour MP opposes Democracy wants to keep small parties small.
Labour MP and Shadow Cabinet member Caroline Flint has decided to oppose her newly elected leader Ed Milliband and launch an unofficial labour no campaign to AV. Most telling is her comments at 0:55 in this video from the BBC “It’s about not allowing fringe parties to have more a say in our elections and i think that is very important” That is disturbing and Sounds like someone does not want small minority parties to ever have the chance of growing without one of the big two collapsing. We nearly have effectively a two party system like in the USA and ultimately that results in a complete lack of ideas resulting in malaise and apathy. Then you end up with the situation where personality counts more than policy. We are not far off from presidential style elections where it is all about making the other person look bad.
Caroline Flint has a history of opposing democratic and open governance. After the expenses scandal she was one off 98 MPS who voted in favour of legislation that would have kept MP’s expenses secret truly disgraceful. Caroline Flint would appear to a classic example of the self entitled careerist who we need to remove from parliament
The AV system is far from perfect but is a damn site better than the current situation.
According to a YouGov poll yes to AV is slightly ahead of no by 37% to 32%. 24% are unsure how they will and 7% saying they will not vote in the referendum. Expect these figures to change as we get closer and more people learn what AV is and change their mind or make their minds up. If you are unsure what AV is and what you will be voting for here is a guide.

In two months time there will be a referendum on new voting systems. You can find out what is being voted for here and how the parties stand here.
Which way are you going to vote? I’m in favour as a step towards stronger democracy. Altough we need a non of the above option as well.
